Intermediate handbuilding
Handbuilding - Intermediate
with Tara
In this four-week intermediate handbuilding course, students are invited to advance their current sculpture or functional handbuilding practice through the creation of one large-scale form to fire at the end of the session. Project-specific in nature, students will learn how to skillfully handle scale while drawing from past work and current inspiration – putting material learnings directly into application. An excellent opportunity for students to work 'big' and advance their understanding of clay through focused realization of form.

You will receive an email approximately one month after your session, once your ceramic pieces are ready for pickup. Be sure to check your spam or junk folder!
You will then have 2 weeks to come pick up your pieces during our designated pickup hours. Please bring the email with you. If you are unavailable, you may ask someone else to pick up your pieces — they must show your email as proof.
After the 2-week period, any unclaimed pieces will be donated.
Please note that your piece may crack or break during firing — pottery takes practice! This is why this workshop is focused on the experience, not the final result.
