All Levels Wheel Throwing -
Improving your technique
This intimate, individually tailored 4- week course offers students focused 1-on-1 support to refine and deepen their wheel throwing practice. Ideal for those who have completed a 4 or 6-week beginner class, this four-week series helps bridge the gap between foundational skills and confident, self-directed work. With personalized instruction and consistent feedback, students can target specific technical goals — whether it’s mastering centering (for throwing or trimming), refining trimming techniques, improving pulling consistency, or developing glazing skills. Working through a focused series of simple forms — such as cups and bowls — students will build skills week by week and complete the course by glazing their pieces using a wide range of house underglazes. Held within a warm, community-centered context, this course offers both the structure and open play to advance your practice with confidence.
Requirement: Participants must have completed a 4- or 6-week beginner pottery course prior to enrolling in this class. This class is designed for students who have some foundational experience—whether they've just completed a beginner course or are at an intermediate skill level. All are welcome as long as they meet the minimum prerequisite.

A few recommendations before your pottery session:
Keep your nails short
Do not wear rings, bracelets, or watches
Wear appropriate clothing and shoes for a studio environment
-
You will receive an email approximately one month after your session, once your ceramic pieces are ready for pickup. Be sure to check your spam or junk folder!
You will then have 2 weeks to come pick up your pieces during our designated pickup hours. Please bring the email with you. If you are unavailable, you may ask someone else to pick up your pieces — they must show your email as proof.
After the 2-week period, any unclaimed pieces will be donated.
Please note that your piece may crack or break during firing — pottery takes practice! This is why this workshop is focused on the experience, not the final result.
