Intermediate Wheel Throwing: Mugs, Handle Pulling and Repetition Work - 6 weeks

Intermediate wheel throwing: Mugs, Handle Pulling and Repetition Work

with Jeff (in english only)

A course dedicated to improving your throwing skills and learning how to achieve consistent, identical forms with pulled handles! We will be practicing throwing the same forms repeatedly to practice consistency while learning measuring techniques, considering multiple factors in producing consistent pieces, and discussing gages and tombo tools.

After trimming, we will then learn about handles: making blanks, attaching, pulling, setting, and shaping! Handles are often the most important factor in what makes a cup a delight to hold. The look and feel of a handle, if done just right, can make the perfect mug!
