4 Week Beginner Wheel Throwing - 245 $

Beginner 4-week -The fundamentals

Multiple sessions available. Please explore our calendar below.

In this four-week beginner wheel course, students are offered an open and inviting context to discover the pleasure of creating a simple series of cups and bowls through guided wheel technique and supervised practice. An excellent introductory follow-up for students who have already taken an Intro-to-Wheel and are excited to explore further, or for ceramic-curious folks who are keen to try working with clay for the first time. In this fluid short-form class, students are introduced to the art of centering through work with cylinders and curves – learning to trim and decorate their pieces with a wide spectrum of house underglazes in the final week.

A few recommendations before your pottery session:

    • Keep your nails short

    • Do not wear rings, bracelets, or watches

    • Wear appropriate clothing and shoes for a studio environment

  • You will receive an email approximately one month after your session, once your ceramic pieces are ready for pickup. Be sure to check your spam or junk folder!

You will then have 2 weeks to come pick up your pieces during our designated pickup hours. Please bring the email with you. If you are unavailable, you may ask someone else to pick up your pieces — they must show your email as proof.

After the 2-week period, any unclaimed pieces will be donated.

Please note that your piece may crack or break during firing — pottery takes practice! This is why this workshop is focused on the experience, not the final result.
