We are pleased to collaborate with Reina Sakao, also known as Madame Matcha, to offer you a unique experience centered around the Japanese tea ceremony, from the Urasenke school.
Reina Sakao is the fourth generation of a Japanese tea house founded during the Meiji era. She began practicing cha-no-yu at the age of 14 with her grandmother and is now a certified instructor. Through her workshops, she passionately shares the richness and simplicity of Japanese culture.
What to Expect:
Urasenke-style tea ceremony (Chabako)
Tasting of matcha (Usucha) and a traditional sweet (Higashi)
Introduction to the Zen philosophy behind tea
Essential gestures for participating in a tea ceremony
This workshop is an invitation to slow down, savor the moment, and discover an ancient way of life.
