Matcha Bowl and Cup workshop : Introduction to handbuilding
This once-in-a-while workshop offers a chance to make your own unique matcha bowl and cup while exploring the basics of hand-building!
After we will build our pieces using the slab technique, we will play with shaping and adding surface decoration - carving in textures, painting using colourful underglazes, using stamps, etc.
The pieces, then fired and glazed in transparent by our team, will be ready to pick-up (and to use!) in 4-5 weeks.
Please take a moment to read all the information on this page before your workshop.
This session includes:
The clay needed to make your plate and cup
Your two created items: your matcha bowl and cup
The firing and glazing of your two pieces with our transparent glaze.
